Elizabeth Gracen

I've always been a huge fan of the Highlander series and I always had an affinity for the character Amanda. While she was a thief and liar, I was intrigued by the fact she was a woman immortal, powerful, beautiful and nearly 1200-years-old. In 1998, they gave Elizabeth Gracen her own series to play Amanda in Highlander: The Raven, and I was super excited about it at the time. But it failed after only one season and I believed it was because it never found enough fans because it was on at 1am Saturday nights where I live. But years later after they came out with the DVDs, I watched the special features and Elizabeth Gracen and everyone involved said that the series died because of the fact that Elizabeth and her co-star Paul Johansson didn't get along because Elizabeth thought she wouldn't be the star and hated him for it. At the beginning of the series the producers and writers were trying to figure out where to go with the series, at first it felt like a cop show and then later an typical highlander show because Elizabeth pitched a fit. My point is, while I am still a fan of Elizabeth Gracen because she played Amanda, I lost a lot of respect for her after that. She claims this and that but in the end it sounded like she was being a child and throwing a tantrum and she threw away a perfectly good show that had potential to be truly great.

If anyone reads this then great, but just letting everyone know where I've been. I play "World of Warcraft" and I'm trying to get my character up to level 70, currently the highest in the game. She's at level 69, so soon as I get her there I'll be back to updating. :)

Art Rewind

I came up with an idea a few hours ago and decided to work on the first piece, although I should be fast asleep by now I'm posting this entry instead. :) I was going through all of my old artwork and I was thinking I could do a much better job today than back then. The next thought that popped into my head was what if I posted a monthly segment called 'Art Rewind' on my blog? Taking an old piece of art that I had created years ago and revamp the piece and see what the outcome is and see what people have to say (or not). I set only two rules for revamping a piece, which are: same size and concept as the first. Anyway, The first piece I picked is entitled "Perfect By Nature" and the subject is the character T'Pol from Star Trek: Enterprise. Enjoy!

The X-Files Movie

I want to go see "The X-Files" movie so incredibly bad that its killing me, I never go to the theatre unless I'm dragged there. Although this time I'll make an exception and go willingly! There's only one problem-I don't have the money to go see it! Not that I'm completely broke but I do need to save what I have until I get a temporary job. Although the critics and certain fans have been very down about the film, I don't care! I won't be satisfied until I watch it! :( Maybe in 6 months and its out on DVD or something... that sucks. Anyone wanna donate $20? Just kidding!
